Cell free supernatant from lactobacillus culture

It was the Day 3 for my lactobacillus to grow in both MRS and skimmed milk base. The cultures were taken out for centrifugation to obtain the cell free supernatant (CFS).


The supernatant was used to screen for the presence of lactic acid and hyaluronic acid.


Ps:// I found it so hard to balance the Eppendorf tubes in the centrifuge machine. XD



Here are the supernatant obtained after centrifugation.


(8000 rpm, 4°C, 10 minutes)
